Douglas Fraser:

• Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada 1961.
  
  
• Attended the Alberta College of Art & Design in Calgary 1980-84.
  
  
• Masters Degree from the School of Visual Arts, New York, NY, USA 1984-86.
  
  
• With an interest in graphic art and painting, entered college to experience a more academic environment. There the arbitrary divisions of Art and Graphics were introduced with much sacred cow fanfare.
  
  
• Later attending graduate school in New York the extremes of the Good and Bad were introduced.
  
  
• Arriving after years of professional experience as an illustrator to a "style" of work best described as; Brütal Sign Painting, Comic Book Social Realism, and or Specific Generics.
  
  
• Today he is working in digital (Adobe Illustrator), and traditional (alkyds on canvas, and drawing materials) media.
  
  
• Working in editorial, book, graphic novel, and advertising. Clients include; TIME magazine, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Fortune magazine, Rolling Stone, NIKE, NFL, and the NHL.
